AISI 1044

AISI 1044

Carbon steels are a category of steel containing 0.12 to 2% carbon. When the percentage of carbon content increases, hardness and strength of these steels increase with heat treatment, but lose a little amount of their ductility. AISI 1044 carbon steel is medium-carbon steel that can be heat treated, flame or induction hardened. It is recommended that carburizing or cyaniding be avoided.
