AISI 1060

AISI 1060

Steels containing carbon as the main alloying element are called carbon steels. They contain up to 0.4% silicon and 1.2% manganese. Residual elements such as copper, molybdenum, aluminium, chromium and nickel may also be present in these steels. AISI 1060 carbon steel has characteristics similar to that of AISI 1055 carbon steel.
