AISI 1547

AISI 1547

Carbon steels contain carbon as the primary alloying element. In addition to this, they also contain some residual elements such as chromium, molybdenum, nickel, aluminium, and copper. About 0.4% silicon and 1.2% manganese are also present in these steels. The AISI 1547 carbon steel is suitable for forgings.
